She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Voice Foundation, VASTA, Yoga Alliance, Performing Arts Medicine Association, and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Rooted in trauma-informed voice care, this workshop will explore how traumatic and/or chronic stress can impact the singing body, and offer nervous system support tools that can be incorporated into practice and performance.
Bel Canto Boot Camp partners with Respire Vocal Wellness in offering this free introductory session to our three pay-what-you-can Intermezzo Workshops with Megan.
This session will help us sense into our bodies cues of “safety†and “danger,†and how establishing boundaries contributes to creative wellbeing. All are welcome to register and participate in this Zoom workshop. Megan will invite you to turn off your camera if you wish during the facilitation.
This session will explore movement, breath, and sound practices that can help us connect vocal production to external and internal sensation, grounded in the present moment. All are welcome to register and participate in this Zoom workshop. Megan will invite you to turn off your camera if you wish during the facilitation.
This session will investigate how language and messaging in voice work (both external and internal via the self-critic), can impact our sense of self worth. Empowered choice and dignity emerges when we engage in self-inquiry, innovation, and invitation-based language over the often binary paradigms of “correct/incorrect.†All are welcome to register and participate in this Zoom workshop. Megan will invite you to turn off your camera if you wish during the facilitation.
